Creativity OR Technology

Updated: Jan 13

Have you seen Fursat, Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj?

It’s a short film. Nicely done, good storytelling, great cinematography, abstract, but very apt dance sequences

but what is different?

As we know it shoots on iPhone 14 instead of traditional film cameras.

In the documentary “Chhayaankan” Directed by Hemant Chaturvedi, Shyam Benegal said “Early days creativity was waiting for technology, but now Technology is asking creativity tell me what do you want I will deliver”.

In filmmaking, technology can help to facilitate creativity in several ways. For example, computer-generated imagery (CGI) can be used to create amazing visual effects that were previously impossible to create without expensive practical effects. Similarly, editing software can be used to create montages and other innovative sequences that can help to tell a story more interestingly and engagingly. In short, technology can help filmmakers to realise their vision more efficiently and effectively.

On the other hand, No matter how good your tools and equipment are, we won't make a great movie or masterpiece picture on our own. You need a good concept, storytelling & other creative skills to make something truly special. With the right tools and a good eye for detail, you can bring your vision to life and create something truly amazing.

So as new technologies continue to arrive, many people wonder if the old ways of doing things will become obsolete. In photography and filmmaking, it's hard to ignore the influence that iPhones have had. Professional photographers and videographers are now using iPhones for their projects, making them increasingly popular among creative types.

But does this mean traditional cameras and filmmaking are becoming a relic of the past? Not necessarily. Although smartphones provide new users with great convenience and accessibility, they still cannot deliver the same level of quality as professional cameras do. Furthermore, filmmaking is an intricate art form that requires more than just capturing images –

What do you think, what will be the future?
